Consecration--Antoinette Banks

We invite you to partake with us in our consecration for the month of January. We have an updated version of the consecration calendar with new scriptures and prayer focus geared to lead you to a successful consecration. Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. Keep my statutes and do them; I am the Lord who sanctifies you. (Leviticus 20:7-8)

What I find so interesting about the above scripture is the sentence structure. The adverb “therefore” modifies the transitive verb “consecrate” which is essentially telling the reader that if you consecrate yourself, if you dedicate yourself for a sacred purpose, if you irrevocably devout yourself to God, you will therefore be ye holy, in pleasing God, for ‘He’ is holy. (Leviticus 11:45) It is our duty to consecrate!
